An article published in Frontiers in Oncology presents our clinical experience treating cancers in the pancreas on the Elekta Unity MR-Linac using abdominal compression to reduce motion. We show that abdominal compression is a viable solution to reduce tumor motion, and provides reproducible motion reductions for all fractions delivered. In addition to presenting our workflows, we also review patient local control rates and toxicity of the treatments and compare to the published data from the SMART trial.
