
Another article co-authored by University of Iowa physics researchers that earned an Editor’s choice award in the prestigious journal Medical Physics is “Experimental and Monte Carlo characterization of a dynamic collimation system prototype for pencil beam scanning proton therapy”, that appeared in the August 2020 edition. First-authored by Medical Physics resident Blake Smith, PhD along with by Mark Pankuch, PhD of Northwestern Medicine Chicago Proton Center, Daniel Hyer, PhD of the University of Iowa and Wesley Culberson, PhD of the School of Medicine and Public Health, University of Wisconsin Madison.
